Indian mills are considering further decrease the price of hot rolled coil in early June to compete with low-cost imported resources.

In early May the Indian mills decreased the HRC price by Rs2000/ton to 28.5-30.5 thousand rupees / tonne (USD447-478 / ton), but did not attract buyers, and low-cost imported resources are being arrival .

Currently, the price of Chinese origin HRC to the Indian quoted at approximately USD365 / ton (FOB), CIS resources quoted at USD360-370 / ton (CFR).
