439 stainless steel performance and application
Source:Xinsteel   Date:2020/9/26
439 stainless steel (022Cr18Ti) is made by adding titanium and niobium to Cr17 steel, and then reducing the carbon content to below 0.03%, thereby improving the processing performance, welding performance and corrosion resistance. It has good resistance to intergranular corrosion and poor toughness, so it is not suitable for manufacturing load-bearing parts below room temperature. This steel has good deep drawing performance and better weldability than 10Cr17.
439 stainless steel is mainly used for interior and exterior decoration of buildings, vehicle parts, kitchen utensils, tableware, warm water tanks, and can also be used to manufacture nitric acid and other oxidizing acid-resistant containers and pipes, which can partially replace chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel.
