Due to annual maintenance, Hyundai Steel will cut H-beam and other profiles production during July—September which may have some impact on its’ domestic and overseas users.

Due to strong domestic demand, Hyundai Steel currently being focused on the supply to the domestic market of H-beam and other profiles, exports volume will continue to decline, it is expected to decline 30% -40% in third quarter.

According to the Korea Iron and Steel Association data, in May Hyundai Steel H-shaped steel exports down by 27% year on year to 76,800 tons, down by 37% month on month, from January to May the export volume down by 3% to 0.5056 million tons.
