In May Japan’s small bar production totaled 754,700 tons, down by 4.5% year on year, continued to decline for nine months.

The total production of small steel bar reached 3.59 million tons in first five months, down by 5.4% year on year.

It’s expected that the total production of Japan’s small steel bar would reach 8.92 million tons in 2015.
