Last month, due to the summer holidays and equipment maintenance of downstream users, plate demand of Spain down. Meanwhile, considering the Spanish imports of hot-rolled sheet prices decrease and the depreciation of the dollar against the euro, the Spanish steel traders offer discounts to customers in order to maintain customers.

Currently, Spain’s hot-rolled sheet prices excluding tax fell to 390-400 euros / tonne (USD429-440 / ton), down by Euro 10 / tonne over the end of last month. Hot-rolled import plate prices down by Euro15 / tonne to 370-380 euros / tonne (USD407-418 / ton), delivery time expected in September.
