This week, India’s hot rolled coil prices remain stable, 3mm merchandise coil’s price stable at 28.5-30.5 thousand rupee / tonne (USD448-479 / ton).

Although imported hot rolled coil prices are still low, the Indian imports of hot rolled steel is expected to fall this month, some imported resources will gradually arrive in the next month, so the market is expected to steady in July.

Recently price of imported hot rolled coils to India continued to decline, Chinese hot coil offer drop USD10 / ton to about USD350 / ton (CFR), HRC import prices from Japan and South Korea also fell, allegedly some traders purchase hot rolled plate from Hyundai Steel with price at USD385 / ton (CFR).
