Brazilian National Metallurgical Company (CSN) plans to raise prices of steel by 8% in the first quarter of next year.

Last time the price increase to take effect in October, the market absorbed only about 7% gains, hot rolled price up about 6% -8%, prices of cold and HDG up about 0% to 2%.

CSN is currently working with the automobile sector to negotiate prices.
