Asian steel plate import market remained stable, some Chinese steel mills are reluctant to accept low price due to export losses. It’s not possible to further decrease the price.

Currently, Chinese hot rolled coil export prices remained at about USD260 / ton (FOB), cold rolled coils quoted at USD287 / ton (FOB). If the HRC export price down to USD255 / ton (FOB), most of the mills did not profit at all, or even losses. Allegedly, some mills still stick to the price of HRC USD270 / ton (CFR) to Vietnam, but no deal heard.
