According to the US Commerce Department released data show that in November the total US steel imports of 2.13 million tons, a decline of 22.7% month on month, down 36.4% year on year. A total of 32.93 million tons of US imported from Jan to Nov, down 10.8% year on year.

According to the kind of steel, compared with October of 2015, in addition to steel pipe, all other steel product import volume down month on month, bigger down volume product are rebar, wire rod and hot rolled coil, dropped respectively by 50%, 33% and 31%. Compared with November 2014, only wire rod imports volume increased by 11.5%, other steel products are all declining, steel pipe, steel plate and cold plate volume decline were higher, respectively by 51%, 48% and 45%.
