Stainless steel hot rolling process
Source:Xinsteel Date:2020/6/22
The stainless steel hot-rolling process uses slabs (mainly continuous casting slabs) as raw materials, and after heating, it is made into strip steel by rough rolling and finishing rolling units. The hot steel strip from the last rolling mill of the finishing mill is cooled to the set temperature by laminar flow, and then rolled into a steel coil by the coiler. The cooled steel coil has an oxide scale on the outside and appears black, commonly known as "stainless steel black coil" . After annealing and pickling to remove the oxidized surface, it is called "stainless steel white roll". Most of the hot rolled products in the stainless steel market are stainless steel white rolls.
