Properties and application of 301L and 301LN stainless steel

1. 301L (022Cr17Ni7) stainless steel is ultra-low carbon austenitic stainless steel. Due to the low carbon content, it is more resistant to grain boundary corrosion. There is no need for heat treatment after welding. The steel is used to manufacture parts that are not heat-treated after welding.
2. 301LN (022Cr17Ni7N) stainless steel is an ultra-low carbon Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steel containing nitrogen and has good resistance to intergranular corrosion. Due to the addition of nitrogen, its strength is much higher than that of 022Cr17Ni7. It can be used to manufacture components that require corrosion resistance and strength. Such as railway vehicles, conveyor belts, bolts, nuts, etc.
