304L stainless steel performance and application
Source:Xinsteel Date:2020/7/21
304L stainless steel (022Cr19Ni10) is an ultra-low carbon austenitic stainless steel based on 304 (06Cr19Ni10) by reducing carbon and increasing nickel content. Compared with 304 stainless steel, 304L has a slightly lower strength, but its resistance to intergranular corrosion is significantly better than that of 304 stainless steel. In addition to strength, other properties of 304L stainless steel are the same as those of 06Cr18Ni9Ti.
304L stainless steel is mainly used in occasions where welding is required and solid solution treatment is not possible after welding.
304L stainless steel is mainly used to manufacture equipment, pipes, containers and various parts in the chemical, petrochemical, petroleum, fertilizer, power and other industries that do not undergo heat treatment after welding.
