Performance and application of 304N stainless steel
Source:Xinsteel Date:2020/7/23
304N stainless steel (06Cr19Ni10N) is a new steel type developed on the basis of 304 stainless steel. Due to the use of nitrogen alloying, the strength and work hardening tendency of steel are significantly improved, while its plastic toughness is maintained to a sufficiently high level. The increase in nitrogen content of steel grades further improves the corrosion resistance of certain aspects, and the improvement is more obvious in terms of pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. As nitrogen improves the sensitization resistance of steel, the intergranular corrosion resistance is also significantly improved. The hot working and cold working performance is good, and it has good cold forming performance. In the case of no intermediate annealing, large cold deformation forming can be implemented.
Application of 304N stainless steel: It can be used for equipment and structural parts that have certain strength requirements and have certain corrosion resistance.
