309 and 309S stainless steel performance introduction

309 stainless steel (16Cr23Ni13) stainless steel has stable structure, good oxidation resistance and thermal fatigue resistance. It can withstand repeated heating below 980 degrees Celsius. It has good cold working and welding performance, but poor cutting performance. Used to manufacture heating furnace parts, heat exchangers, heavy oil burners and pump body parts.
309S stainless steel (06Cr23Ni13) is a high chromium nickel austenitic stainless heat-resistant steel. The corrosion resistance is better than 304 stainless steel. But in fact, it is mostly used to manufacture heat-resistant steel parts, which can withstand repeated heating below 980 degrees Celsius. 309S stainless steel can be used to manufacture corrosion-resistant parts, but in fact most of it is used to manufacture heat-resistant parts, that is, as heat-resistant steel that resists high temperature corrosion.
