This week, local European plate prices steady, but the pressure from cheap imports resources increased. At present, the Nordic region's plate ex-works prices are 480-490 euros / ton, ex-works in southern Europe about 460-470 euros / ton, plate import offer is 400 euros / ton (CFR, Antwerp), down 12.5 euros / ton, the reason European mills maintain the price of local resources mainly because of delivery time of imported resources longer than local resources.

According to preliminary data released by Eurostat show that a quarter of the EU plate imports totaled 431,000 tons, close to the 2012 total annual imports, and China’s chromium plate accounted for more than 3%. Eurofer spokesman said it had not received a formal complaint from European mills.
