Affected by the demand rising of end user of construction and automotive, the Indian domestic steel consumption rose to 5.5 million tons in April 2015, an increase by 7.1%.

Data source is an integrated steel mill committee, which is the steel ministry affiliate. The data show that non-alloy steel consumption in April rose 5% to 4.8 million tons, steel consumption rose by 25.2% to 0.67 million tons.
