Taiwan's China Steel Group lowered the selling price of some steel varieties in the third quarter, in which the hot rolled coil prices decreased by NT $ 217 / ton to NT $ 15,690 / ton (USD 512 / ton), cold rolled coils prices down by NT $ 344 / ton to NT$18,140 / ton, price of hot galvanized plate decreased by NT $ 365 / ton, plate and electrical steel decreased by NT $ 611 / ton and NT $ 900 / ton.

Due to the global economic slowdown, China Taiwan downstream steel users continue to face difficulties decline in export demand, coupled with the appreciation of NT and trade barriers, promote Taiwan's China Steel cut steel prices.
