Due to falling of scrap prices, China Taiwan Feng Hsin steel cut rebar price by NT $ 400 / ton, 13mm rebar ex-factory price is NT $ 12,000 / tonne (USD378 / ton), scrap purchasing price decrease by NT $ 300 / ton to NT 5000 / ton.

Feng Hsin steel said the company is currently operating at breakeven level. It’s hard to be forsee the demand of rebar could rebound before the end of this year. The price will remain under pressure.

This week China Taiwan scrap import market remains weak, mixture of 1,2-weight waste (80:20) import price fell by USD13 / ton to USD171 / ton (CFR).
