South African ferrochromium supplier Merafe Resources Inc. announced that it has reached a fourth quarter ferrochromium contract price of 104 cents / lb, down 3.7% over last quarter.

In the first three quarters of 2015, the European ferrochromium contract price remained stable, however, the international steel market remain weak, ferrochromium demand is low, suppliers had to lower their offers. Since Chinese ferrochromium spot prices kept at low levels, some vendors offer higher discounts.
