Japanese steel companies in the fourth quarter plans to produce 23.14 million tons of finished steel products, a slight increase of 0.8% qoq, but down 2.9% year on year. Among them, ordinary steel production was 18.43 million tons, growth of 0.6% qoq, down 1.5% year on year; special steel production was 4.71 million tons, growth of 1.7% qoq, but fell 8.3% year on year.

Fourth quarter domestic Japanese steel companies plan to sell 14.94 million tons of finished steel products, growth of 4.1% qoq, but fell by 2.9% year on year; export 8.2 million tons of steel.
