Recently, the World Iron and Steel Association (WSA) released the data of global crude steel production in October, crude steel production in the world's 66 major steel-producing countries and regions of 134 million tons in Oct, down by 3.1% year on year; crude steel capacity utilization was 68.3 %, down by 3.4% year on year, a decline of 1% month on month.

From January to October, the cumulative global crude steel production was 1.345 billion tons, down by 2.3% year on year. Asian crude steel production totaled 919 million tons, down by 1.9% year on year; the EU crude steel production was 141 million tons, down slightly by 0.7%; North America's crude steel production was 94.55 million tons, down by 6.8% year on year; South America crude steel production was 37.28 million tons, down by 1.6% year on year; crude steel production in the Middle East was 23.17 million tons, an increase of 0.1% year on year; CIS crude steel production was 84.57 million tons, down by 4.9% year on year.
