Preliminary statistics recently released by the US Department of Commerce show that in November 2015 US steel imports of 2.13 million tons, down 22.7% month on month and sharply down 36.4% year on year which hit the lowest record in 2015. One of the main factors is the sharply fell of importing of semi-product steel month on month. From Jan to Nov, US imported a total of 32.93 million tons of steel, down 10.8% year on year.
