Wire: Affected by scrap price rising in April, Gerdau long steel North America company and Nucor decided to increase wire rod prices by USD50 / short ton, mainly for shipments after May 1st. Currently, the US network wire rod ex-factory price is USD450 - 480 / short ton, being steady. In March, several US steel mills have raised the price of wire rod shipments in April by USD20 / short ton.

Rebar: Due to the recent many steel mills increased steel price, US Midwest mills increased the rebar prices by USD20 / short ton to USD520-545 / short ton. End users have already accepted the steel price increases.
