1. Molten salt temperature ≤290ºC
A: At this temperature, the corrosion of carbon steel is very slow (about 2.1 microns in a year), and the design thickness can be ignored.
B: At this temperature, alloy steel and austenitic stainless steel may not consider corrosion.

2. 290ºC <molten salt temperature ≤480ºC
A: Carbon steel is severely corroded at this temperature (approximately 44 microns in a year) and is not suitable for use.
B: At this temperature, alloy steel is required to contain 9% chromium, so as to have good corrosion resistance in molten salt.
C: At this temperature, austenitic stainless steel can be considered without corrosion.

3. 480ºC <molten salt temperature
A: At this temperature, austenitic stainless steels (304H, 316H, 347H) are sufficiently resistant to corrosion by molten salts (approximately 2-3 microns a year). However, after a brief heat radiation, the first two alloys form a microstructure, due Water stress corrosion cracks after accidental contact with water are very sensitive. 347H also has good corrosion resistance to molten salt, but is not easily affected by water-containing cracks.
