303Se stainless steel performance and application

303Se (Y12Cr18Ni9Se) stainless steel is a Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steel containing Se. It is based on 12Cr18Ni9 steel with more than 0.15% selenium, which is easy to cut. Selenium is added to Y12Cr18Ni9 steel, and the content of sulfur and phosphorus is increased, thereby improving the cutting performance of 12Cr18Ni9 steel. For components that require excellent cutting performance and a good processing surface, such steel should be selected for its hot processing performance.
303Se stainless steel is most suitable for corrosion-resistant standard parts processed on automatic lathes, such as bolts and nuts.
