316H and 316Ti stainless steel properties and uses
Source:Xinsteel Date:2020/8/5
316H (07Cr17Ni12Mo2) stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel with good resistance to intergranular corrosion and oxidation corrosion. Mainly used for pitting-resistant parts, but also for heat-resistant steel.
316H stainless steel is mostly used for heat-resistant applications with higher requirements, such as the manufacture of steel pipes and pipe fittings for boiler superheaters, heat exchangers, condensers, and catalytic tubes.
316Ti (06Cr17Ni12Mo3Ti) stainless steel has good intergranular corrosion resistance under air cooling at 700-800 degrees Celsius, and good oxidation resistance at 1000-1100 degrees Celsius. Other properties are basically the same as 316 stainless steel.
316Ti is used to manufacture containers or equipment containing chlorine salt solution and fuming nitric acid, phosphoric acid, formic acid, acetic acid, and acetic acid of different concentrations. It can also be used to manufacture heat exchangers, manifolds, steam superheater pipes and nitric acid concentration equipment.
