Pakistan Steel Pipeline Industry Association has called on the Pakistani government to cancel adjustment tax which levy on the import hot rolled coils and plates, tax rate is 15%.

The association said that Pakistan is currently has a huge demand for hot rolled coil (over 1.5 million tons per year), while small production and few supplier of HRC in Pakistan, so levy the tax on import of hot rolled coils would bring many negative influences such as lack of supply, products costs rising of engineering machinery, rampant smuggling and many other negative effects.
