Turkish scraps price rising again although the steel market is still pessimism. Recently it reported a deal conclude that a ship 30,000 tons of scrap, including 27,000 tons mixture of 1, 2-weight waste and 3,000 tons of P & S scrap, the average price USD 258 / ton (CFR). Another ship 30,000 tons including 20,000 tons of scrap mixture of 1,2-weight waste and 1000 tons of scrap shredding, the average price of USD262 / ton (CFR).

The current market situation is that Turkish mills have procurement requirements, but they think the price is too high, scrap dealers want to sell at USD260 / ton (CFR), while Turkish mills seek USD250 / ton (CFR) procurement. Turkish mills believe that based on the above two single contract price, to increase the price is hard for them to accept, but it believe the future prices will gradually rise.
