Indian mills try to increase rebar price

Recently, the Indian central government may restart some stalled infrastructure projects, the state government infrastructure projects have gradually clear, some large steel mills have been win the bidding of road and bridge projects, so the mill hold cautious optimism to steel market in the second quarter, it is expected the demand would be warmer again.

Affected by this, Indian mills try to raise the rebar price, which is the first occurrence of prices after undergoing a six-month price declines. Among them, the electric furnace mills have already increased the price and integrated mills are trying to offer up. The current domestic rebar tax price is about Rs 36,500 / tonne ($ 587 / ton), up 500-700 rupees / ton.
