Over the past few weeks, western Japan H-beam prices weaken, falling demand. In Osaka market, SS400 big sized H-beams offer 75-76 thousand yen / ton (US $ 625-633 / ton), decreased by 1000 yen/ton compared with the end of March ($ 8.3 / ton) and decreased by 3000 yen/ton compared with January. In Tokyo market, the price of similar material is 78-79 thousand yen / ton, unchanged from March, but fell by 1000 yen/ tonne compare with the price in January.

Currently, the Japanese construction industry stagnant demand for steel, but the Tokyo market demand is slightly better than other regions. It is worth noting that steel for large-scale projects in the Tokyo area to provide more discounts which make the cash buyer dissatisfaction, the amount of steel stock buyer demand and large-scale projects are substantially equal, in response to the requirements of the cash buyer, Tokyo steel may cut H-beam spot market prices.
