This week, the US sheet market remain strong, the market demand is good. Midwest mills hot rolled steel coil’s base price is USD460-465 / short ton, cold roll coil’s factory base price is USD570-590 / short ton.

Since last month the mill announced USD20 / short ton price increases did not fully accepted by the market, the mills intend to increase the price again.

However, it is expected that buyer may exist contradiction to raise prices again, after all, the demand needs to be further market recovery, while local resources also faces pressure from low-priced imports of resources, even if the price rising again, price adjustment should be more moderate.
