Russia’s MMK is considering to build a new blast furnace during 2018--2023, expected annual capacity of 2 million tons, to replace two old blast furnace and ensure that pig iron production capacity to maintain 1020-1040 ten thousand tons unchanged.

For Blast Furnaces, MMK plans to build a new coke oven and sintering equipment in 2019 to ensure the quality of raw materials needed for the new blast furnace, while helping to lower the cost of production of $ slab 10-20 / ton. The sintering equipment is expected to cost $ 150-180 billion rubles.
