South Korean mills recently imported two batches of A3 scrap delivered on Jan-Feb next year from the Russian Far East area, the price is USD167 / ton (CFR), by USD 13 / ton over November.

Due to China Taiwan scrap import market and the Japanese scrap prices rebounded, Korean mills also raised the purchase price of Russian scrap. Asia scrap prices now far lower than the United States, so the Korean mills did not bulk scrap import from the United States since early December, may continue to choose purchase scrap from Asia in the short term.
