The Indian government announced in mid-April to conduct anti-dumping investigation on imports hot-rolled sheet, in order to prevent the import and enhance the competitiveness of local mills. Stimulation by the new anti-dumping investigations, the mills began brewing a new round of price increases. However, affected by the religious festivals, mills had to postpone plans to raise price and keep the ex-factory price remained stable.
