This week, Nucor, Steel Dynamics Corporation and Commercial Metals Company (CMC) announced a further rise in steel price. The price increase is the third consecutive US Steel raised its rebar prices.

Nucor price increase by USD35 / short ton, Steel Dynamics Corporation and Commercial Metals Company's price increase of USD 45 / short ton, mainly for plate delivered after May 15th.

This price increase was in the market expected, mainly because of the mills think the raw material price would rising again in May and the market demand is rising.
