Performance and application of 317L stainless steel

317L stainless steel (022Cr19Ni13Mo3) is an ultra-low carbon austenitic stainless steel, which has better intergranular corrosion resistance than 317 stainless steel and is suitable for making welded parts.
1. The hot working performance of 317L stainless steel is good. The hot working temperature is slightly lower than that of stainless steel without copper. The suitable heating temperature is 1070-1090 degrees Celsius.
2. The cold working performance of 317L stainless steel is basically the same as that of stainless steel without copper.
3. The solution treatment temperature of 317L stainless steel is 1050-1100 degrees Celsius.
4. The welding performance of 317L stainless steel is good, it can be welded by conventional welding method, and it has good corrosion resistance after welding.
5. 317L stainless steel is used in marine atmosphere, ignition equipment, petrochemical industry and containers, reactors, pipes, pumps and valves.
