This week, the US sheet market prices continue to drop, buyers wait and see mood darker. Hot rolled steel base price of US mid-west mill is usd480-490 / short ton, down USD 5 / short ton. Cold roll factory base price is USD 600-620 / short ton, down USD10 / short ton.

Steel mills has been trying to make buyers believe that the market prices have bottomed out, and try to offer up, but buyers cautious for the recent steel price increases, because there is no positive factors supporting the market prices, unless the domestic steel production or government-sponsored trade protection investigations.
